Educator & Artist

I can't remember a time when I wasn't interested in exploring art. As early as elementary school I was taking extracurricular art classes to further my exploration. These supplementary art classes at a young age helped me become engaged in the arts and has helped me understand the importance of extracurricular enrichment for children first hand. Increased enrichment in the arts resulted in me building knowledge and appreciation outside of the arts as well. It helped me understand and seek out the perspectives of others, learn how to receive feedback and put it into action, build communication and critical thinking skills.

In college, along with my art education course, my university offered many opportunities to exercise that knowledge through conferences and hands-on experiences. It was at this point that I began my practice in the workforce of introducing people of all ages to art while working at a gallery and a studio. The classes I took, hands-on opportunities, and my practical work experience helped prepare me for the next step in my journey, teaching middle school art where I built and implemented the program.

Now it's time for the next step of my journey, Dot and Circle. I love building my business, creating art for myself and the enjoyment of others, and advocating for the arts in and out of schools.
